Blog updating is a bore, but my participation in these two events around artificial intelligence and virtual reality on campus this past month was not! On Feb 7 I participated on a round table with some excellent colleagues on the challenges and opportunities of teaching language, literature and culture in the age of AI. The event was organized by the Berkeley Language Center, as part of their Language & AI Conference cycles. More info here

And, a couple of weeks later, I had the beautiful opportunity to talk with my brilliant colleagues and friends Nicole Starosielski, Emma Fraser and Clancy Willmott on Virtual Realities and its implications for society and the environment, which was a real treat. More info on that one here.

Finally, I was also lucky to share some thoughts on my new book with my colleagues and students at our own departmental research day, which was very special in many ways.
It feels great to be at Berkeley, I am not going to lie. XO
